Students studying abroad are well aware of the weekend trips as these trips are the main source of joy and adventure for them. Students load up their backpack, gather their friends and set off for a couple of days of adventure to explore a new place.

Important Tips For Students Studying Abroad For Long Trips

However, students usually get more than couple of days during the semester break in which they can plan to travel a bit longer and explore multiple cities in a single trip or stay more than a couple of days at an interesting place.

Planning these trips is not easy as there are many things that one has to look after while planning an extended trip. In case you are planning an extended trip with bunch of your friends, then you must check out the given tips to make the most of your trip.

1. Choose Your Travelling Group Wisely:

The first and foremost thing that you will need to take care of is the people you are willing to travel with. Since you are planning an extended trip, it is important to select such friends who have the same desire of exploring particular places as of yours which will make everyone on the same page. Having people on board who have different wishes and priorities will add unneeded tension and drama, making trip more stressful. Furthermore, make sure not to join a group that becomes too large as it will increase conflicts among members.

2. Assign Role To Every Group Member:

Another important thing that you will need to do is to assign role to every group member. Since you are planning an extended trip, you will need to book multiple flights, hotels, trains, buses, etc. Managing all these things perfectly can be hard for a single person. Therefore, make sure to divide these tasks among different group members such as make one person responsible for hotel booking, another to look up flight timings and another to make a list of places to explore in a particular city. Assigning duties to every group member is not all. You further have to make sure that everyone does their assigned role to have a great trip.

3. Share Extra Suitcase For Extra Luggage:

A single hand carry is usually enough for a trip of couple of days as you only need to pack few important things. However, when you are planning to travel for a week or more, you may need to carry extra luggage with you. To carry extra luggage, you may need to have an extra bag. Most of the students studying abroad usually do not have extra bags. Therefore, you may need to buy an extra suitcase and may be your friend as well. So instead of buying extra bags individually, it would be good to find a friend who needs an extra bag as well and mutually buy a single suitcase and share it. In this way, the extra cost will be reduced.

4. Book Tickets In Advance:

Exploring a new place requires too much travelling and therefore you will need to book tickets of trains and buses. When it comes to transportation, you should book tickets in advance as it helps you keep on a schedule and reduces the chances of missing bus or train just because the tickets sold out. Similarly, you should book the tickets of the attraction places in advance to avoid standing in waiting lines for hours.

5. Download Map Onto Your Phone:

Last but not the least is to download the map of city in your smartphone and make sure that every other member does the same. In this way, anyone who get separated from the group can easily reach the place where they were heading and reunite with group.
